Avtex attains SOC 2 Type 2 certification and HIPAA Type I attestation

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – May 25, 2021 – Avtex, a TTEC Digital company, announced today that they have achieved two key security and privacy milestones – SOC 2 Type 2 certification and HIPAA Type 1 attestation.

For 2021, Avtex has achieved:

• SOC 2 Type 2 certification: Developed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), SOC 2 defines criteria for the effective management and protection of sensitive data. For 2021, Avtex obtained SOC 2 Type 2 certification in two key areas: Security and Availability. This marks the 6^th straight year that Avtex has achieved SOC 2 Type 2 certification.

• HIPAA Type 1 attestation: For the third year running, Avtex has worked with a third-party auditor to conduct a comprehensive HIPAA compliance assessment of its data security and privacy practices and controls. The organization can once again attest that it maintains the security, technology, process, policies, and training that comply with HIPAA security and privacy requirements.

Each certification or attestation required a rigorous process including audits, policy and procedure reviews, internal control assessments and more. Individuals and teams from every department throughout the organization were involved, and Avtex also enlisted the support of third-party consultants to ensure their efforts provided the optimal protection for client data.
